Publishing that cleans up after itself
Unpublishing a post now hides its cards and links everywhere on its own, and putting it back brings them all back. Search engines are finally allowed in too, with a sitemap, a feed, proper social previews and favicons. Also cleaned out dead images and pinned the icon versions so nothing shifts under me.

Category colours in the top navbar
Work, Life and Balance in the navbar now light up in their own colour on hover, and stay lit on their section page and on every post inside it. Also added a new Balance post on paper as a general technology.
-

Moved the build to Jekyll
Head, navbar, footer and scripts now live once in shared layouts instead of being copied into every page. Every served post became a Markdown file with front matter, still carrying its hand-written HTML body, and every old URL kept working. Draft and orphan sources moved into an archive folder. Ruby pinned so local builds match GitHub Pages.

21
Mobile ways back home
A Home item at the top of the mobile menu, a Home link in post footers, and a navbar that hides when you scroll down and comes back when you scroll up.
-
20
Homepage refresh
Swapped the homepage cards over to what I’m actually working on: Hoojah and Sama².
-
19
Hoojah papers on the Documents page
Published the Hoojah white paper and two research papers as readable web pages, and cross-linked them from the Hoojah posts.
-
18
rudzainy.com goes live
Custom domain on GitHub Pages, after a short detour. The github.io address now redirects here.
-
17
Rule-tab section headers
A numbered category tab sitting on a rule now opens every section of every long post, so the line starts a section instead of closing the last one. Rolled out across all 21 posts with sections. Same day, fixed the Bootstrap integrity hash site-wide.

16
A new wave of case studies
Started writing up recent projects properly, beginning with the Rombak LYN Forum concept redesign. More are drafted and waiting for their turn.
-
15
Responsive HTML résumé
The résumé became a proper page that reads well on a phone, instead of a PDF you have to pinch and zoom.
-
14
Voice pass
Went through the posts and took out the polished, generic-sounding bits and the em-dashes, so they sound like me again.
-
13
Let’s Work Together, redesigned
Rebuilt the hire-me page on the new design system, with a direct way to start a conversation.

12
Batik Design System
A palette of its own: indigo for Work, emerald for Life, saffron for Balance, on songket cream. Design tokens for colour, spacing, type and motion. Fluid type, a comfortable reading column, Lucide icons and brand marks replacing Bootstrap Icons, a library of reusable post sections, image placeholders that never show a broken image, and a living style guide.
-
11
Knowledge bundle
Packaged the cleaned-up content into a structured knowledge bundle, so the writing can be read by tools as well as people.
-
10
The big cleanup
Fixed image paths everywhere, added an editor config, normalised 82 old posts, wrote an editorial gap report for every one of them, and made the site respect reduced-motion settings and minimum tap sizes.
-
9
Typography, footers and mobile polish
New type, footers on every page, cards that size to their content, the logo replacing the hamburger icon on mobile, and the last old image tags swapped for plain HTML.
-
8
First custom domain
Pointed a custom domain at the site for the first time.
-
7
Component library
Collected the cards, grids and modals into a components page to reuse instead of copy-paste.
