I keep coming back to one idea: a proper framework for how Malaysians talk to each other. Not a policy document, more a blueprint for helping people from very different backgrounds actually understand each other, feel for each other, and work together.
At its heart it's about the channels we talk through. That could mean using tech to build spaces where people can actually discuss things across divides, and backing community-run efforts that get different cultures talking.
A big part of it is the boring-but-hard stuff: listening properly, disagreeing without being a jerk, staying open. I'd want Malaysians having real conversations that make room for all the different cultures, languages, and points of view we've got here.
It also has to start young. If schools and universities built communication into the curriculum and the activities around it, the next lot would grow up better equipped to deal with people who aren't like them.
There's a cultural literacy piece too: actually learning about the traditions, customs, and beliefs of the different groups here. You tend to be more tolerant of what you understand.
The end goal is simple enough. Fewer walls between us, and Malaysians who feel like they can genuinely connect with each other. More unity, more harmony, more respect. That's the whole point.
